Welcome to Lime class page

We hope you had a wonderful summer break and are ready for the many exciting learning adventures we have ahead of us this academic year. I am so excited to teach you all and get to know you over the coming weeks.

This term’s topic is all about Being Me in My World and we will be exploring our learning question
“How can I be the best I can be?”
though all our subjects.

Our class novel study is the The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo. In RHSE, we will be learning about the Zones of Regulation, how we can become resilient in our learning and our relationships. Our science lessons will focus on investigating how our bodies work including our bones, muscles and digestive system. In music, we will be learning our to sing in rounds and canon and we will be exploring how we can represent ourselves through art by creating a personalised still life using lots of different painting techniques to create texture, light and shade.

PE this half term will be dance and we will be Mondays and Fridays, so please ensure children have their indoor PE kit in school each week. This includes black shorts, white t-shirt and black pumps. Please ensure your kit is named!

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our webpage as we will upload photographs regularly to showcase the fabulous learning happening in class and our Stars of the Week.

Thank you, Mrs Ford and the Lime team
