Elm

Welcome to the Elm Class page!

Welcome back everyone! We really hope that you’ve had a wonderful summer holiday and are excited to get stuck in to your exciting learning this half term!

This term’s topic is ‘Being me in my world’ and we will be exploring our learning question ‘Where do I live?’ across the different subjects.

Our class novel study is Mini Rabbit Not Lost. In RHSE, we will be learning about the Zones of Regulation, how we can become resilient in our learning and our relationships. Our science lessons will focus on healthy eating and what a balanced diet look like as well as what animals need to survive. In Art, we will exploring how we can represent ourselves through art by developing our drawing skills and creating a self portrait.

PE this half term will be yoga and we will be Mondays and Tuesdays, so please ensure children have their indoor PE kit in school each week. This includes black shorts, white t-shirt and black pumps/black trainers. Now we are heading towards the colder months, please make sure your child has a warm, black jumper and black jogging bottoms too as we will be outside weather permitting! Please ensure your kit is named!

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our webpage as we will upload photographs regularly to showcase the fabulous learning happening in class and our Stars of the Week.

Please do come and speak to me on the playground in the mornings and at the end of the day if you have any questions but you can also email the office at: office@robertbakewellprimary.com too.
