Welcome to the Elm Class page!

Our Unit 4 topic is all about Inventions and Technology and we will be exploring our learning question
“Which materials would be best to make a kite?”. Our topic this term has a science focus so we will be spending lots of time exploring materials and thinking about their properties before putting this knowledge to good use by making and flying our own kites.

Currently, our Forest School slot is Wednesday afternoons so please ensure your child has their kit ready for the session as it is very muddy down there at the moment!

PE this half term is on Fridays, so please ensure children have their indoor PE kit in school each week. This includes black shorts, white t-shirt and black pumps or trainers. it is best to have it in school all week as sometimes our slot needs to change due to other events in school

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our webpage as we will upload photographs regularly to showcase the fabulous learning happening in class and our Stars of the Week.

Please refer to our knowledge organise for any homework ideas and please practice weekly spellings sent home.
